Become a CPHC®

  1. Apply for CPHC Training.

  2. Complete Phase I 35-40 hour online training modules — rolling registration — students have access for four (4) months.

  3. THEN Compete Phase II 5-day In-Class training — register early to ensure your spot in class

  4. OR attend Phase I+II combined 100% In-Class training at Yestermorrow (only offered once a year)

  5. Complete and pass the CPHC Exam comprising both In-Class and Take-Home portion

  6. You are now a CPHC!


Phase I: Online Sessions (recommended 4/6-weeks)

Phase I of the CPHC training comprises a series of pre-recorded online virtual sessions taught by expert instructors, collected readings, recommended resources, and quizzes; altogether comprising about 35-40 hours of learning material. Participants can ask questions and connect with other CPHC course registrants via our online training platform. Students should complete Phase I training prior to starting Phase II.  

2018 Phase I Dates/Locations

NEW! Starting in 2018, Phase I—the online training component—is now available anytime! You can complete the (roughly) 40 hrs. of class work at your convenience; it'll take about four weeks. Enrollees have access to Phase I materials for four months.


Phase II: In-Class Instruction (5-days)

The second phase of CPHC training follows the online portion and is focussed on design exercises, and WUFI Passive and THERM software training. Both Phase I and II are required to successfully complete the course and to be eligible to take the final exam.
